Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Lieutenant Richard Tracy (Gladden James), the man that Judith Corbin (Gail Kane) chooses to marry, turns out to be a gambler who runs up a big debt. Judith is often left to her own devices, and she renews her childhood friendship with Paul Towne (George Relph). Towne is now a naval officer and has created a new explosive for torpedoes. Tracy tries to steal these plans so he can pay for his gambling losses, but he is unsuccessful. The day the explosives are being tested, Tracy and his gambling friend end up on a stranded ferryboat that is hit by the torpedo. They both are killed, which paves the way for a romance between Judith and Towne. Director Frank Crane was able to get permission from the U.S. Navy so that he could shoot several scenes aboard Naval ships; government cooperation was rare in cinema's early days.
