Synopsis by Sarah Block
Two classic modern dances by veteran choreographer Paul Taylor, "Runes" and "Esplanade," are compiled on this video. "Runes" was designed by George Tacet and set to music by G. Busby. "Esplanade" was designed by John Rawlings and set to music by Johann Sebastian Bach. Both dances were originally produced and performed in 1975 and released on video by Dance in America, WNET/Thirteen in 1998.
