Synopsis by Janiss Garza

The racy title to this picture hides the fact that it is just another soap opera-like domestic drama with a few jazz parties thrown in for good measure. Beverly Bayne, who had recently gone through a very public divorce from Francis X. Bushman, is one of the stars. Mary and John Rand (Bayne and Frank Mayo) have both studied law, but John decides to forego a career as an attorney and become a clergyman. This does not sit well with Mary, who claims that his reduced salary will prevent their daughter, Henrietta (Pauline Garon), from receiving a proper education and an introduction into society. As a result, the couple agree to divorce and Mary goes back to her law career, eventually working her way up to district attorney. She falls in love with another lawyer, Bruce Corbin (Bryant Washburn), but he prefers Henrietta. Because Mary has been neglecting her daughter, the girl becomes a prime suspect when Corbin is found murdered. John comes out of retirement to defend his daughter in court. Peggy D'Arcy (Carmelita Geraghty) comes forth with testimony that exonerates Henrietta. John and Mary, meanwhile, are reconciled.
