Synopsis by Hal Erickson

If ever was there a good argument against the British film industry's "quota" system, this exercise in dullness was that argument. The "island" in question is Corsica, where a long-standing vendetta comes to a bloody conclusion when the brother of heroine Josette is stabbed by hot-blooded Beppo, the no-good chum of Josettes' lover. Twenty years later, the lover returns to the island with his daughter by Josette. Realizing that the daughter has no notion as to her father's sordid past, Beppo threatens to reveal all to the girl -- and further threatens to pin the long-ago murder on the lover. Beppo pays for his skullduggery by taking a header off a high cliff. The villain is played by Moore Marriott, who was more effective as toothless old "Harbottle" in the Will Hay comedies of the 1930s.
