Comedian Larry Semon's career was drawing to a sad close by the time he made this picture (he would die from pneumonia a little more than a year after this film was released). After failing as a feature filmmaker, he was reduced to directing two-reelers. He doesn't even appear in this uninspired short, which stars Alice Day (Marceline Day's younger sister) and features the up-and-coming Eddie Quillan. Alice Hale (Day) is the hired girl at a boarding house run by Mrs. Skinner (Louise Carver). Two boys, Eddie Jones (Quillan) and Danny Donovan (Danny O'Shea) are rivals for Alice's hand. She chooses Eddie and they get engaged, but then she discovers that he believes that she is actually rich and only cares about the money he thinks she has. She breaks off the relationship with him, and after a number of adventures, including a wild motorcycle ride, she comes to the conclusion that Danny is the boy for her.
