Synopsis by Bhob Stewart
In this Iranian family drama, a Ministry of Culture employee travels with his son into mountain forests north of Teheran where he sets up his screen and projector before villagers who have never seen a film before. In open-air screenings, these villagers see both Charlie Chaplin and a village melodrama. Entranced, the audience continues to watch even when a rainstorm blows in -- and some in the audiences identify with situations they see depicted on the screen. Shown at the 1997 San Sebastian Film Festival.
