Flamenco guitarist Paco Peña offers a new take on the traditional mass in this release that combines the spiritualism of Catholicism with the musical tradition of Flamenco. In his notable effort to find a comfortable middle ground between religious tradition and musical experimentation, Peña adapted Spanish Catholic Mass text and employ his superior knowledge of the Flamenco tradition to match words to music in the most effective and appropriate manner possible. Also joining Peña in his spiritual experiment are acclaimed Flamenco singers Diego, La Susi, Guadiana, and El Chapero, and a choir twenty voices strong and ready to help the innovative guitarist bring his unique message to the masses.
