Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
Ancient Roman poet Ovid’s (Corbin Bleu) life story is transported to modern-day Detroit, but the retelling retains the formalistic language of his time, as well as the occasional togas-and-sandals wardrobe, while mixing with contemporary hip-hop music and Motor City culture. When Ovid pens a highly provocative guide to love and seduction, the artistic act gets him into political trouble with the brutal emperor named Augustus (John Savage). Written and directed by Esmé von Hoffman.
