Synopsis by Jonathan Crow
Following up on the popular coming-of-age saga Yesteryou, Yesterme, Joe Ma Wai-ho directs this sequel. In this go around, the hero Bobby (John Tang Yat-kwan) finds himself separated from his childhood girlfriend Ting-ting (Ellen Lo Oi-lun) who transferred to a different school. When he starts to take some classes at Hong Kong University, he meets and immediately falls head over heels for the 19-year-old lithesome beauty Sharron (Eileen Tung Oi-ling). In spite of the fact that he feigns an interest in art and obscure Japanese art house films -- hoping to get her to fancy him -- she comes to like him for his folksy, down-to-earth quality. Meanwhile, Ting-ting starts to catch on that Bobby is playing around with another woman. This film was followed-up in 1997 by Yesterday You, Yesterday Me.
