Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This three-reeler was based on the Rupert Hughes story, Miss 318 and Mr. 37. 318 is the number of a department store worker (Mabel Trunelle) and 37 is the number of a city fireman (Pat O'Malley). The store where Miss 318 works is a fire hazard, but the owner uses his influence to avoid making the necessary changes. Meanwhile a romance springs up between Miss 318 and Mr. 37. Inevitably, a fire breaks out in the store and Miss 318 and Priscilla, the daughter of the store's owner (Gladys Hulette), are both stuck inside. Mr. 37 comes to save the girls, but Miss 318 insists that Priscilla go first. Miss 318 is trapped inside and assumed lost, but she is found alive and taken to the hospital. There she is reunited with her sweetheart, and Priscilla is found by her father.
