Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A loving young couple finds their whirlwind romance compromised by a highly-contagious virus that erodes its victim's memories in this melancholy romantic drama from Japan. Young slacker Teru is hopelessly devoted to his beloved girlfriend Mio when she begins to display the unmistakable signs of Emanon - a new virus that started in Tokyo, and it rapidly spreading across the globe. Emanon strikes the central nervous system and has a devastating effect on memory, but Teru struggles every day to remind Mio that they are still deeply in love. Later, as the entire city of Tokyo falls to ruin, Teru, too, is stricken by the virus. In a desperate bid to remember each other, Teru and Mio take flight to the countryside, but even then it remains unclear whether or not they will find the strength to keep their love alive.
