Synopsis by Andrea LeVasseur
South Korean filmmaker Sung Baek-yeop directs with the feature-length animated film Oseam, based on a fairy tale by Jeong Chae-bong. Drawn with a painterly watercolor style, the simple story follows the life of two orphaned siblings. Mischievous Gil-son is an innocent five-year-old boy who just wants to see his mother again. He and his blind sister Ga-mi are taken in by the Buddhist monks on the snowy Mt. Seorak. Gil-son makes a magical transformation before finally succumbing to his fate. The soundtrack includes songs by Korean rock singer Yoon Do-Hyun.
