Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Orok Titok (Eternal Secret) was filmed with full cooperation of the Roman Catholic Church of Budapest. Set in France during the anti-clerical purges of the 1870s, the story is set in motion when a rich old woman is murdered and a priest is charged with the crime. The anti-Catholic forces intend to exploit this incident for their own political gain, and justice be damned. The only way that the priest can clear himself is to reveal what he has heard during Confessional -- and he's not about to break his vows merely to save his own life. Like Hitchcock's much-later I Confess, Orok Titok is resolved by the last-minute revelation of the real murderer.
