This documentary follows the lives of a young hippie couple as they move first two hours away from San Francisco and then to New York. Harry and Ricky enter into a communal living situation when local complaints are raised as to how they are raising their child. The child is first handed over to authorities, but Ricky's helpful and tolerant father aids in getting the child returned. Plenty of marijuana is smoked and LSD is openly sold as the flower children revel in their brave new world. Harry has another woman named Leslie he spends time with, but Ricky soon comes to question the affair. She suggests that Harry reorganize his priorities, a conventional request in the non-conventional new world in which they live. The two soon decide to move to New York.
