Judy's relationship with Sam Blue Steven Weber intensifies and she finds herself falling in love with him despite the fact that he is married. When Rick stops by a drugstore to buy some flu medicine, he runs into Judy and Sam flirting and buying condoms. He puts two and two together, but promises he won't tell Lily about the relationship. Later, Judy and Lily argue about the financial state of the bookstore, erasing any chance for Judy to tell Lily about her relationship with Sam. Grace continues to struggle with Jake's adulterous past, reliving every time Jake was "playing racquetball" late at night. Judy gives Sam an ultimatum -- it is time to decide between his wife or her. When Sam says he isn't ready to leave his wife, Judy tells him they are through.
