Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A dream narrative told in flashback structure, France-based filmmaker Raoul Ruiz's Nucingen Haus follows writer William James (Jean-Marc Barr) as he learns that he has won a sprawling mansion, and decides to take up residence there with his wife (Elsa Zylberstein). But Nucingen Haus is already populated by a collection of eccentric residents who speak their own outlandish language and operate by their own bizarre social code - and they don't take kindly to the prospect of being displaced by these two newcomers.
