Synopsis by Hal Erickson

This Argentine domestic comedy was adapted from Things of Cain, a play by the Quintero Brothers. Amelia Bence plays the oldest of four sisters, all of marriageable age. Despite the pleas of her steady boyfriend, Bence refuses to wed until her other siblings find suitable husbands. All of which cause no end of headaches for the girls' widowed father Tito Lustardo, who'd like to get them all out of the house A.S.A.P. The film's musical score is adapted from the popular tunes of European operetta composer Jean Gilbert, who had a large following in South America.
