Once upon a time, blimps ruled the skies. In an era before the proliferation of airplanes, the word aircraft meant blimp. Technology, time, and the Hindenburg disaster changed all that. In this program, Nova takes a look back at the history and downfall of airships, and looks forward, speaking with scientists about the possible future uses of blimps.
