Synopsis by Ben Schultz
This documentary follows filmmaker Alex Gibney as he investigates the 1994 Loughinisland massacre, in which two gunmen killed six patrons at a small pub in Northern Ireland. The film draws upon Gibney's own experiences and explores the shooting's connection to the 30-year conflict between pro-U.K. unionists and Irish nationalists known as "the Troubles."
