French actress Regina Badet stars as an Oriental dancer in this drama. Sadunah (Badet) marries a wealthy financier, but all she really cares about is her daughter's welfare. She's thrilled when the girl becomes engaged to a count. But the financier is caught in a crooked deal and has to come up with a huge sum of money or face disgrace. Sadunah insists that he kill his uncle for the inheritance. He goes through with the plan but, wracked with guilt, dies shortly thereafter. A rejected suitor of Sadunah's daughter finds out about the murder and threatens to tell all unless Sadunah makes the girl marry him. To keep from sacrificing her daughter, Sadunah throws herself, and the suitor, over a cliff to their deaths.
