This anime TV series takes place 14 years after the events of the Ninja Scroll movie. We find Kibagami Jubei wandering Japan once more, a masterless warrior living by his sword. Dark forces are moving once more, however, and the mysterious Dragon Jewel, which forms a source of unstoppable power when in contact with the legendary Priestess of Light, has made its way into Kibagami's hands. With Dakuan the monk trying to enlist Kibagami's services in order to protect a young priestess from the demons who wish to hunt her down, and the very same demons targeting Kibagami himself for the jewel, this might just be the perfect job for the wandering swordsman.
