Nils Holgerssons Underbara Resa is the 1962 film version of the classic children's story written by Selma Lagerlöf in 1906. Nils Holgersson (Sven Lundberg) is a young boy who makes mischief on his family's farm by tormenting the animals. One day he magically shrinks to their size and goes on an adventure, accompanied by the gose Akka (voice of Naima Wifstrand). He inevitably learns his lesson. Starring Max von Sydow and Annika Tretow as his parents. This story was later turned into a Japanese animated series in 1980 called The Wonderful Adventures of Nils.
