Synopsis by Mark Deming
In 2000, the newly formed Minnesota Wild brought NHL hockey back to a state where the game had long been wildly popular, and in 2002, the young team enjoyed a spectacular season, with coach Jacques Lemaire and star players Dwayne Roloson, Andrew Brunette, and Darby Hendrickson taking the Wild on a thrilling post-season campaign. NHL: Minnesota Wild -- State of Hockey is a documentary that takes a behind-the-scenes look at a team which has wasted little time in establishing itself as a major force in professional sports.
