With an unstoppable offense, led by quarterback Steve Beuerlein and a defense that definitely needed work, the Carolina Panthers proved that 1999 was a year filled with learning experiences. Ranked fourth in the NFL for scoring, they were ranked 26th for the number of points allowed. Ending the 1999 season with an 8-8 record, the Panthers improved substantially from their 4-12 1998 season, but they still had a ways to go. This video shows that for a team that only began playing in 1995, the Panthers could be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL, especially with their tough offense and the likes of running back Tim Biakabutuka and wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad.
