Episode ten of the pulse-pounding Edison serial Neal of the Navy was shipped out under the subtitle The Rolling Terror. Having safely escaped a yellow fever-ridden island, hero Neal Hardin (William Courtleigh Jr.) and heroine Annette Ilington (Louise Lorraine) resume their efforts to locate a valuable island which Annette has inherited from her father. Hot on their heels is a band of smugglers headed by the Brute Man, who intend to seize possession of the island for their own purposes. To eliminate the competition, the Brute Man's minions bind and gag Annette and leave her helpless in a runaway railroad car. Naturally, this obliges Neal to jump ship and rush to Annette's rescue. Will the Brute Man ever come to realize (as the audience already has) that he is the heroine's long-lost father?
