Synopsis by Alice Day
Plants appear to be passive organisms that are incapable of defending themselves against hostile actions. This is not true, according to Nature: Secret Weapons, a film that demonstrates the powers that plants can utilize in case of predation from insects. These chemical defenses, however, have been exploited by some insects who borrow the poisons from plants for their own purposes. Insects display a remarkable range of defense strategies to fend off enemies, ranging from effective camouflage techniques to an arsenal of chemicals that is at their command.
