Charting the destruction in New Orleans caused by flooding in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The hour focuses on the breaching of levees built to keep Lake Pontchartrain at bay, and features footage of the 17th Street Canal levee breach shot by a New Orleans firefighter on the morning Katrina struck, Aug. 29, 2005. Also examined is a Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs report on Katrina. All told, some 80 percent of the city was flooded and more than 1000 people died.
