Synopsis by Gönül Dönmez-Colin
Nandan is a children's film by a director from the Orissa State of India who has won several national and international awards with his previous films, which often concern children. The hero of this film is twelve-year-old Nandan, who is yearning for an imported toy car he has seen in a shop. His obsession leads him to a series of dramatic events until he realizes how irrational and whimsical it all is. A sensitive rendition of the dreams and disillusions of childhood, the film participated in the 4th International Film Festival of Kerala, 1999.
