The mysterious Mountie once again comes to the rescue in chapter five of Mystery Trooper), this time saving Jack Logan (Robert Frazer) from being mauled by a grizzly bear. Meanwhile, having located the other half of the map to the hidden Indian mine, Chief Red Eagle (William Bertram is promptly abducted by Mack (Charles King) and his men. Soon everyone converge at the Bonanza Hotel in Ghost City where Mack is rumored to hold the Indian captive. A candle is overturned in the ensuing fracas and as chapter five concludes, Jack and Helen (Blanche Mehaffey) find themselves engulfed in flames. Original chapter title: "The House of Hate."
