Synopsis by Mark Deming

In this comedy-thriller for the family, Geneva (Brighton Hertford) and Tommy (Jameson Baltes) are two kids trying to make some extra money over summer vacation. When they find a lost wallet and rescue a lost kitten -- and are given cash rewards for both -- they decide that finding missing things could turn out to be a very lucrative business. When they learn that Kelly (Christine Lakin), a recent high school graduate, has disappeared and a reward is being offered for her return, Geneva (who likes mysteries and fancies herself an amateur sleuth) immediately puts herself on the case, with Tommy her reluctant helper. But when Geneva notices that several of the signs point to murder, could she have gotten herself in dangerous waters? Mystery Kids was produced and originally released under the title Finding Kelly.
