A Finnish girl forms an unbreakable bond with the puppy her father rescued during a trip to the Berlin Wall in director Kaisa Rastimo's tale of unconditional friendship. The year is 1989: A Finnish family man is visiting the crumbling Berlin Wall when he happens across an adorable puppy named Stormheart. Despite knowing nothing about the pup, including its breed, the kindly father decides to rescue the animal and take it back to his daughters in Finland. As his seven year old daughter Pearl forms a close connection with the new family pet, the father learns that Stormheart's parents had served as guard dogs at the Berlin Wall. Six months later, Stormheart has grown to the size of a bear, and has no real concept of rules or boundaries. Despite his lack of grace, however, the loyal Stormheart protects young Pearl from all danger, a favor that the little girl returns by showering her new friend with unconditional love.
