Low-budget cowboy star Dick Hatton and stunt-rider Marilyn Mills took more a less a back seat to their equine co-stars, Star and Beverly, in this otherwise typical silent oater about a crooked foreman (Robert Walker) wooing his employer's daughter in order to cover up an embezzling scam. Star, an injured wild stallion, is nursed back to health by Hatton and later assists in capturing the villain. My Pal was co-written by actor Robert Walker and director Ward Hayes.
