Inspired by the true life story of Singaporean fire-eater Francis Bosco, director Eric Khoo's Tamil-language drama My Magic tells the tale of an alcoholic bartender who decides to pull his life together for the sake of his adolescent son. Though his wife has left him and his life is in shambles, the devoted father vows to set things right by reclaiming his former glory as a popular magician. Shot over the course of just eight days in December of 2007, Khoo's film stars Bosco as himself and features Jathisweran and Grace Kalaiselvi in supporting roles.
