Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This VH1 cable channel reality series was an offshoot of two other examples of this peculiar genre, America's Next Top Model and The Surreal Life. It will be recalled that the first winner on Top Model was one Adrianne Curry, who went on to appear in The Surreal Life, wherein a number of has-been and "instant" celebrities interacted for the amusement of the vast viewing audience. Among Curry's Surreal Life cohorts was actor Christopher Knight, whose chief claim to fame was that he had played Peter Brady on the popular sitcom The Brady Bunch. Well, boys and girls, to make a long story short, Knight and Curry became lovers while taping The Surreal Life -- but whether or not they lived happily ever after would be determined by the outcome of the subsequent series My Fair Brady. On this one, the couple had relocated to L.A., where Knight had generously allowed Curry to live with him until she found a place of her own and established herself in Hollywood. But as the months went by, Curry seemed determined to remain under Knight's roof -- and, ominously, began prattling on about marriage. And that, in a nutshell, was the premise of My Fair Brady, which began its VH1 run on September 11, 2005.
