As narrated by the unborn child gestating inside his comatose mother's womb, Leonardo Antonio's mystery My Engine's Fragile Sound follows the hunt for the pair's would-be killer, who remains closer to them than anyone - including the detective in charge of the case -- suspects. A pregnant woman has been badly burned in a vicious attack by an elusive serial killer. Meanwhile, the cop who is searching for the killer asks burn unit nurse Gabi to probe the injured woman for information about the killer as soon as she regains consciousness. Later, when the unhappily-married Gabi begins to suspect that her enigmatic lover is the man the police are searching for, the victim's developing infant begins to sense just how fragile his situation truly is.
