Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Based on a stage play, this Paramount five-reeler concentrates on the marital travails of "The Mummy," a self-adsorbed scientist (Charles Cherry), and "The Humming Bird," his neglected wife (Blanche Sweet). The already tenuous relationship between husband and wife is further strained when she begins keeping company with a mysterious Italian. Finally shaken out of his indifference, the scientist tries to win his wife back, but it's a losing battle. Happily, the Italian lover is removed from the scene when he is killed by one of his own countrymen as part of a deadly vendetta. The Humming Bird returns to her nest, while the Mummy at long last unravels his bandages (so to speak!)
