Synopsis by Heather M. Fierst
As the title suggests, this workout is designed for advanced exercisers -- those with a high fitness level -- and is not recommended for beginners. Instructor Keith Byard leads the high impact aerobics segment of this workout. High repetitions of jumping jacks, squats, reverse lunges, crunches, and pushups, combined with light dumbbell work and simple step choreography, work nearly every muscle in the body. Byard knows that he is instructing advanced aerobicizers, because he rarely gives cues, instead concentrating on form and alignment. After the intense aerobics, there is a 30-minute Ishta yoga workout. Filmed in the beautiful Utah desert, instructor Courtney Tarpley leads you through a relaxing and vitalizing routine of yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation practices. This yoga workout is not for beginners, as the exercises are strenuous and require a high degree of flexibility.
