Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

This biographical look at the late Mother Teresa, winner of the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize and founder of the Missionaries of Charity, provides an exhaustive glimpse at her round-the-world travels. With footage taken over a five-year period, director Ann Petrie shows Mother Teresa engaged in her selfless work at many trouble spots: she saves children in Beirut, changes diapers of the sick in India, and constantly urges the people of the world to work for peace. She is seen with several world leaders, and a combination of her own voiceover and that of the narrator, Richard Attenborough provide a context for her life.
