In Tehran, a middle-class family is preparing to celebrate a wedding, and everyone is present except for the young bride's older sister and her family, who are traveling from their country home to join them. When the film joins the sister and her family in their preparations for the journey, she turns to the camera and warns the viewer that they are all about to die in a car crash. Her prediction is an accurate one, and the wedding party soon turns into a funeral gathering, which is startling for guests who turn up expecting a joyful event. The surprises are not over, however, because the distraught family matriarch insists that her granddaughter get married on schedule, and somehow a wedding does take place amid funeral preparations. As it does, the ghost of the bride's sister happily wafts through the room, accompanied by her ghostly husband and children.
