Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
In this fantasy, a young Korean cleric receives a message from a female deity warning of future disasters and giving him an indication of various actions to take to prevent them. Chief among these is the making of various ritual masks. He is commanded to set aside his girlfriend during the time he is making the masks. This causes him (and her) certain difficulties, because rather than being allowed to pray unmolested at various shrines, monks keep trying to rape her. She escapes one particularly persistent monk, but in doing so has an accident which results in her death.
