Synopsis by Janiss Garza
In this light comedy, Molly (Shirley Mason), an oculist's assistant, is set to receive an inheritance on her wedding day -- whenever that will be. She doesn't have a sweetheart, but she is in love with Philip Smith (Albert Roscoe), a handsome author who is both blind and broke. She convinces him to marry her, then sends him to Italy so that he can regain his health and his sight. When he returns, Molly -- who he has never seen -- tries to win his heart for real by posing as a maid in his home. Since she pretends to be an Alsatian orphan who can't speak English, much confusion ensues. Another woman wants to get her hands on Philip, but in spite of himself, he falls in love with Molly. Only later does he find out that she was the wife who sent him abroad.
