Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This Keystone feature has only the barest resemblance to the poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson. Instead of a sea-farin' man, the hero (Joe Jackson) is a lazy husband who lives off his hard-working wife (Miss Edwards). But one day Ambrose (Mack Swain), his lawyer, informs him that he has inherited $1,000,000. The husband must go to Australia to collect his legacy, so he says goodbye to his wife and child and sails off. But the steamer he is on sinks, and he is the only one saved. Unfortunately, the ship that rescues him is a whaler out on a four-year cruise. The skipper forces the husband into doing some hard labor, and when he finally gets back home, he discovers that his wife has collected the million dollars and married the lawyer. He is about to turn around and leave without revealing his identity, but he discovers that there is a plot to kidnap his child. He saves the kid and is reunited with his wife.
