Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith
The 1997 World Series consisted of a seven-game showdown between the Florida Marlins and the Cleveland Indians. The season is recalled with player interviews taped prior to the start of the series and after it ended. A number of clips capture the excitement of the games, including such moments as when Edgar Rentaria hit his 11th-inning, game-winning RBI. Many players displayed some of their finest talents during this contest, including rookie Livian Hernandez who became the MVP after winning two games for the Marlins.
