Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Joyce Kingston (Jean Sothern) grows up with her uncle Edward Singleton (Robert Kegeris) and has never seen either of her parents. Her father (Jack Newton), who left shortly after her birth, finally wants to locate his daughter and puts an ad in the paper. Joyce has her uncle respond and soon she is on her way to her father's place in the city. Although she is well-educated and a stickler for etiquette, she believes that her father is expecting an uncouth country girl, so she acts the part. This drives her father's fiancee, Genevieve Holbrook (Mary Moore), mad. But that's fine, since the woman is more interested in Kingston's fortune than in his heart. Joyce susses this out and tricks the woman into leaving, thus saving her father a lot of grief.
