Tang Ting Xuan is a photographer on assignment with a caravan in a remote part of China in the 1930s. He becomes embroiled in a timeless way of life when he sees a beautiful girl riding a horse in the distance. He searches her out and discovers that she is a bandit queen, one of the most ferocious warriors of a tribe of bandits, and is someone who considers him to be an enemy until he wins her heart and her trust. Before then, all sorts of martial arts feats take place, many of them on horseback.
