Minding My Own Business is a 13-part series designed to inspire and motivate entrepreneurs. It features ethnically diverse women who have successfully established their own companies. Entrepreneurs share their victories and failures and frankly discuss the effort and skills required for survival. Programs one through six address business planning, operating, and ongoing business, while other programs highlight particular types of businesses. The episode Minding My Own Business: Professionals in Business offers instruction to accountants, dentists, lawyers, veterinarians, and other professionals in establishing a practice. While most professionals have extensive training in their field, few possess the business skills necessary to operate a successful practice. This program presents tips on setting up and maintaining a practice, as well as how to hire staff and how to access business support services. Programs in the series include Minding My Own Business: Inspiration and Motivation, Minding My Own Business: Managing, and Minding My Own Business: The Retail Business.
