Minding My Own Business is a 13-part series designed to inspire and motivate entrepreneurs. It features ethnically diverse women who have successfully established their own companies. Entrepreneurs share their victories and failures and frankly discuss the effort and skills required for survival. Programs one through six address business planning and operating an ongoing business, while other programs highlight particular types of businesses. The episode Planning covers the topic of start-up. It outlines the basic steps of launching a business and specifically addresses goal setting, creating a business plan, and developing a budget. Other topics explored include market research, and choosing a professional advisor, accountant, banker, and attorney.
