Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter
The U.S.S. Missouri is a battleship with a long and distinguished career, which ended after more than 50 years of service to her country. This documentary, narrated by U.S.S. Missouri Naval officer Wes Carey, presents a fond look at the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of "Mighty Mo." Archival film clips, photographs, personal accounts, and a comprehensive tour of the ship tell her history. The second volume in the three-part series follows the star of the Missouri after her faithful service in WWII. The coverage includes her stay in Chesapeake Bay, war service in Korea and the Persian Gulf, and her final commission to attend the ceremony at Pearl Harbor to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Day of Infamy.
