Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

Actress Michiko Nishie suffered a blood clot in her brain in 1974 which left her temporarily unable to speak. This documentary was produced and directed by her husband, Takayuki Nishie and chronicles her ordeal from the onset of the damage to her slow recovery, a recovery that involved the use of painting as a therapy. Michiko talks about the effect of painting, explaining how she has come to take it on as a permanent pursuit.
