Synopsis by Rovi
Produced by the animation firm of DePatie-Freleng, this ABC Afternoon Special is a deft and dextrous blend of live-action, cartoon, and original music. Playing himself, composer Michel Legrand tells his daughter Eugenie (Olivia Barash) of the days when he was a music student at the Paris Conservatory. Specifically, Legrand explains how he received his first inspiration as a composer from a pesky, flightless bird called "One Note" (shown in cartoon form). This 46-minute special features three new songs, all performed and written by Michel Legrand: "Building a Bird House," "I'm Flying," and "You Gotta Believe."
